A play about the relationship between a champion snooker player, his dominating father and the female tabloid hack who is trying to smear the troubled star. The more time the hack spends with Tommy, the more she likes him, and senses that it is the relationship that Tommy has with his father that is troubling him the most. Likewise it is the new relationship between Tommy and the hack that Ron, the father, aims to break up in the most drastic manner.
